William “Bill” Powell, Sr., 81, of Middleburg, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.  He was born on August 2, 1937 in Charlottesville, VA to the late William Ellis and Mary (Shifflett) Powell.  Bill came to the area 22 years ago from Virginia and was of the Episcopalian faith.   Bill loved time with his wife, children and grandchildren.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, RVing and playing solitaire.  Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Marshall Powell.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Hisami Powell; daughter, Debora Hutchinson (Michael Probst); son, William E. Powell, Jr. (Jacci); brother, Harvey Powell; sister, Rose Marie Goff and 5 grandchildren, Cliff Fisher, Jr., Matthew Hutchinson, Kayla Hutchinson, Dracen Powell and Seigi Powell.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Chaplain Brent Beaird officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at 11:00am.  Interment with full military honors will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
