William Frederick Crawford, fondly known to everyone as “Bill,” went home to Jesus on July 17, 2026, at the age of 80.
Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army. After his military service, he had a lifelong career as a skilled commercial wallpaper hanger and painter, leaving his mark on buildings across his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida.
Bill found great joy in fishing and held a lifelong love for animals. He was also a passionate sports fan, always cheering on the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Gators.
Bill’s greatest legacy is the family he leaves behind. He is survived by his sons, Brian and Garrett; his daughter, Jennifer; his granddaughter, Alaina; and his sister, Cathy.
He has gone home to join those who went before him: his parents, his son, Phillip, and his faithful childhood dog, Sport, who undoubtedly greeted him with a wagging tail.
Bill will be laid to rest with military funeral honors, and his urn will be placed in the columbarium at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on 8/21/26 at 1:00pm.
