William "Bill" E. Baird, 67, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on September 4, 2018.  He was born on February 11, 1951 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Ira Daniel and Hazel Geneva (Rogers) Baird.  Bill completed an apprenticeship program for carpentry and plumbing, was a Master Plumber, Certified Welder, Journeyman Carpenter and a member of the Elks Lodge.  He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and woodworking.  Bill could be found all over town working, grumbling, and informing others of what they were doing wrong!  He was strong-will and opinionated, but always willing to help. He will be remembered as “Bill the Plumber”. 

Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, K. Ann Baird; sisters, Joan Rainey (John) and Sue Shedd; sons, Christopher Baird and Corey Baird (Jessica); daughter, Crystal Garrison (Christopher) and 4 grandchildren, Sebastian, Isabella, Julian and Luke. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, September 7, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Tommy Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
