Wayne Thomas Sugg, 86, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away on August 26, 2026. Born on January 21, 1940, in Farmville, North Carolina, Wayne lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep commitment to the people around him.

A 1958 graduate of Waynesville High School, Wayne proudly served in the United States Navy from January 1959 to December 1962. Following his military service, he began a distinguished 35‑year career with IBM, where his love for computers and technology flourished. He was known for his sharp mind, steady patience, and the joy he found in solving problems and helping others understand the digital world.

Wayne shared 51 loving years of marriage with his wife, Shirley Sugg, who remained his greatest companion and support. He is also survived by his son Mike Sugg (Pam), his daughter Kathy Sugg, and four cherished grandchildren who brought him immense pride.

Wayne was an active volunteer with the Fox Valley Homeowners Association, where he kept the neighborhood informed through email updates about events, projects, and community happenings. His reliability, kindness, and willingness to serve made him a trusted and valued presence in Fox Valley.

Wayne will be laid to rest at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida, honoring his military service and lifelong devotion to his country.

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to family, his love of technology, and the thoughtful way he cared for his community. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
