Walter “Bo” Boren, 78, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away October 12, 2023. He was born on October 6, 1945 in Blount County, AL to parents J.W. and Cleo (Bright) Boren. He attended school in Hayden, AL and was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War where he served from 1967-1968. He always said 1 year, 11 months and 28 days! He was supposed to do 2 years! He was raised in the Baptist faith and owned Green Cove Body Shop for many years. His last few years were spent at Darren’s Body Shop in Green Cove Springs where he loved his work and the people he worked with. In his free time Bo liked to dance the bump, play pool, hunt coons, deer or whatever and fishing. He gave everything he did 100%. Bo was loved by many. He will be missed but he left us with some wonderful memories. He was preceded in death by oldest brothers, Roy Boren, Jesse Boren and younger sister, Mary Boren Hardin all of Alabama. Survived by his wife Samantha, older brother Frank Boren (Alice) of Alabama, older sister Mildred Tomlin and younger sister Julia Hall (Gerry) of Jacksonville, FL along with several nieces, nephews and many close friends in both states. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the VIA, 17 N. Palmetto Ave., Green Cove Springs, FL with Jim Stutts officiating.
