Virginia ‘Ginny’ Gage
(March 9, 1952 – March 2, 2026)
Ginny was born March 9, 1952, in New York, New York to John Murphy and Barbara Tripp. Throughout her life, she worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant, Certified Nurse’s Assistant, and a Business owner.
Ginny was a founding member of the Women of the Moose Brooksville Chapter in Florida and remained active with the Moose throughout her life. She held many positions including Recorder and Senior Regent; and was awarded her College of Regents degree in 2013 at the Mooseheart Child City. She served as the "Heart of the Community" Chairman for the State of Florida and participated in numerous other Non-Profits as well. She enjoyed planning and organizing events, especially if they were for a good cause.
She married David Gage on December 28th, 1990, together they enjoyed traveling the world. She loved going on cruises, camping with her family, and having her toes in the sand. Ginny enjoyed sewing and making crafts; offering her personal touch to wedding clothes, costumes, and gifts for friends and family.
She was a strong supporter of the U.S. Armed Forces, as her father was a WWII Bronze Star recipient with the U.S. Army. Three of her children also served, with the United States Air Force and Army, and one grandson is fourth-generation Army.
Ginny is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Gage, and her extensive family including her children Barbara Pearson (Troy), Sean Goode (Cheri), Tommy Rawald (Merassa), Sheila Hipp, Vanessa Stein (Michael), John Gage (Mistie), Eva Gage, and Michael Gage; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Catherine’s Church at 1649 Kingsley Ave, Orange Park, FL on 14 March 2026 at 11:00 AM.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Moosehaven, Sports & Recreation Center Building at 1701 Park Ave, Orange Park, FL on 14 March 2026 at 1:00-4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ginny's name to Moose Charities, supporting the children at Mooseheart and seniors at Moosehaven. Donate Online via MooseCharities.org
