Virginia “Bruce” Davis McAnnally, 79, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on June 8, 2017.   She was born on May 12, 1938 in Jacksonville, FL to the late George Frank and Marmaduke (Goucher) Davis.  Bruce was a lifelong resident of Clay County and a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. She was a lifelong avid horseback rider and a school teacher before her retirement.  Bruce is preceded in death by her husband, The Honorable L. Thomas McAnnally and her sister, Natalin Platt. She is survived by her nephews, Dr. George E. Platt, Bruce D. Platt (Ruth), Lynn B. Platt and her three great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with Father Bill Hesse officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
