Veryl Longmeier, 85, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on August 13, 2018.  Mrs. Longmeier was born on March 29, 1933 in Wallace, LA to the late Eugene and Mabel (Defresne) Zeringue.  She came to the area in 1990 from Oak Creek, WI and was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and of the lady’s section German American Club.  Mrs. Longmeier was raised in Gramercy, LA and graduated in 1951 from Lutcher High School.  She was a mother and homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Zeringue and sister, Ruth Brignac.

Mrs. Longmeier is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Norman Longmeier; sons, Michael Longmeier (Jacque) and Richard Longmeier (Kathy); daughters, Angelia Wiroll (Robert) and Carol Kraushar (Ronald); sister, Muriel Cacibauda; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 – 5:30pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at St. Luke Catholic Church and the funeral mass will start at 6:00pm with Fr. Andy Blaszkowski as Celebrant.  The burial will take place at 2:30pm on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Jacksonville National Cemetery Lane #2.
