Vernon West, 62, of Middleburg, FL passed away on October 25, 2021. He was born on June 28, 1959 in Green Cove Springs, FL to the late Merrill West and Louise Dees. Vernon met the love of his life, Cindy West, and was married 38 years. Vernon loved spending time with his family, traveling to the mountains, talking with his many friends, driving his tractor, playing with his cats and fishing. He was very involved at his church, Black Pond Baptist Church. Here, he taught Sunday School for many years, was a faithful deacon, and managed the church’s Fall Festival for over 30 years.

Vernon will always be remembered as a loving husband and for making life better for everyone he came in contact with.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby, Wayne and Lee West.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Cindy West; brother, Ronnie West (Vanessa); and sisters, Janice West and Glenda West.

He will be truly loved and missed. His family will cherish every precious moment they spent with their beloved Vernon.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 am - 11:00 am, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Black Pond Baptist Church with funeral services starting at 11:00 am with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating. Graveside services to follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
