Timm Misner Geiger, age 78 of Fleming Island, Florida died on February 11th from Bone Marrow Cancer. Timm was born to parents William R. Geiger and Winifred Misner on November 9, 1947, in Palatka, Florida.

He was a 1965 graduate of Clay High School. Timm was drafted in the United States Army in 1967 and proudly served as an MP in Southeast Korea.

After his discharge he returned to his job with the Florida Division of Forestry. He later worked a short time at John’s Manville in Green Cove Springs. With the death of his father in 1971, Timm assumed the leadership of Geiger’s Fuel Oil. When this closed, Timm was offered the management of Geiger’s Chevron on Park Avenue in Orange Park. He very much enjoyed serving his friends and customers during his nine years of operation.

With the closing of the station, Timm joined Jim Martin Tire. He worked in management at numerous stores in the Orange Park and Jacksonville areas. His final job was managing the tire warehouse for the Southeast in Jacksonville. When this closed, he retired.

Timm grew up attending the First Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs with his Geiger grandparents. He later studied and was an Altar Boy with his brother and sisters at the Grace Lutheran Church in Jacksonville.

In later years he joined St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with Andrea and their children in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Timm served on the Vestry and was Junior and Senior Warden.

Timm was a life member of the VFW in Green Cove Springs.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His favorite times were with his friends and their families of the Gids Bay Hunting Club in Clay County. They shared many years of club activities and family events.

Timm was a care giver most of his life. This began in his early teens when he walked to Grandpa Geiger’s to care for both as needed at night. Later he had his Mother-in-law in his home for ten and a half years. The final was helping Andrea with Mary Keating, Godmother of his children.
