Thomas Jimmy Wilson, Sr., 80, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on July 19, 2017.  He was born on April 10, 1937 in Douglas, GA to the late Thomas Jefferson and Izell Amanda (Davis) Wilson.  Mr. Wilson was a lifelong resident of Clay County and enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He retired from King Edwards Cigars after 35 years.  Mr. Wilson, better known as “Pops”, was an adoptive father to all.  He is preceded in death by his son, Tommy Dale Wilson.   Mr. Wilson is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Waneta Marie Wilson; son, Thomas J. Wilson, Jr. (Wendy); daughter, Mary Haydt (Ronnie); brother, William Benton Wilson “WB” and 5 grandchildren, Robert, Harley, Ashley, Courtney and Trevor.   A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 29, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating.
