Susan Renee Fertig

Susan Renee Fertig of Drs Inlet, FL passed away on October 6, 2021. Sue was born to Kay Eileen Zerby Fertig and William Raymond Fertig. She graduated from Orange Park High School and Concord Career Institute and worked as an Optometrist’s Assistant. Sue was a member of Advent Lutheran Church and life member of VFW #5968.

Sue enjoyed darts, genealogy, photography, bird watching, going to the beach to look for seashells, Facebook and online games.

Susan will be remembered for her free spirit and her love for family and friends. She was a supportive and loving mom to her daughter. A loyal, caring and protective daughter to her mom and dad. An incredible big sister, friend and protector to her brother. A one in a lifetime friend and sister to her Best Friend of 49 years. A great and loving Aunt to her nieces and nephews. For being a Flip-Flop wearing, Sweet Tea drinking Best Memaw Ever!!

Susan is preceded in death by her grandparents, Zerby; grandparents, Fertig; father, William R. Fertig; mother, Kay Eileen Fertig; uncle, Ron Zerby; and Aunt, Carol Brennen.

She is survived by daughter, Amber Rosario of Dyersburg, TN; brother, Wayne W. Fertig (Susan L.) of Gretna, LA; nephews, Dustin M. Fertig (Nikki) of Jacksonville, FL and Michael C. Jones of Orange Park, FL; niece, Joanna L. Burchett of Zaneville, OH; great nieces, Jazmyne, Scarlett, Gwen, Hannah and Kerinsa; great nephews, Mason and Hunter; four aunts, four uncles, and numerous cousins, and life long best friend and sister, Patricia Marves; and multitude of friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Advent Lutheran Church with Pastor Ross Worch.
