Shirley Jane Taylor, 87, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on June 8, 2024 at home. Shirley was born on January 3, 1937, to Leo and Mathilda (Tesch) Dembrock in Wausau, Wisconsin. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, traveling, and her two cats, Fluff and Moxie. Shirley will always be remembered for her kind nature, humorous spirit, beautiful heart, and was a friend to everyone that met her. 

Shirley is survived by her cherished husband of 59 years, William Taylor and their 3 children, Jeri (David) Poquette, Vicki Long and Randy Taylor. Also surviving are her six grandchildren: Amy (Chase) Weyer, Cody, Candace, Kimmie, Caitlin and Ben; and three great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Ashton and Lexi.

Funeral services will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 with Chaplain Brent Beaird officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida. Visitation hours will start prior to the service on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
