Shirley Marie Moorman, 88 years young from Middleburg Fl., passed away on Friday, February 20th, 2026.

Born to Lee Jewel and Mary Elizabeth Louise Wunning Landolt, in a two-story house in Desloge, Missouri, on November 1st, 1937. She graduated from Desloge High School in 1955 (Go Tigers). Shirley joined Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in 1966 while living in her hometown in Missouri. She transferred to a Florida Chapter in 1979, where she eventually started 3 additional chapters in the Orange Park area. She held the highest degree of torch bearer and held every office in Beta Sigma Phi multiple times. She was a life member, a virtual member, and an Angel member and “loved every minute of it”.

While she enjoyed crafts of all kinds, her primary hobby over the last 20 years, was making hand-crafted cards for every occasion, and for everybody she knew. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of North Florida, and was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Orange Park Fl.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne E. Moorman, Sons Kraig and wife Michelle Phares, Clay and wife Darlene Phares, Brad Phares, Stepchildren Colin and wife Cindy Moorman, Allan Moorman, and Karyn Simon. As well as 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, one grandson, one great grandson and one great-great-granddaughter.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday morning, March 7th at 10am, with reception following at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Orange Park Fl.
