Shirley Baker, 79, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away January 22, 2019.  She was born on October 10, 1939 in Swainsboro, GA to parents Hennon and Lois (Glover) Glisson.  Mrs. Baker was a member of Decoy Baptist Church and enjoyed socializing with the ladies in the church.  She loved to help others and last worked at the Council On Aging in Respite Care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Baker and is survived by her daughter, Billie Jo Clevinger; son, Bobby Baker (Mary Jo); siblings, George Glisson, Faye Bland, Jeff Glisson, Eva Mitchell and Ann Glisson and grandchildren, Jenna Wade Clevinger and Austin Baker.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, January 25, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Bobby Baker officiating.  Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
