Sherry Lynn Smalling

Sherry Lynn Smalling, 71, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

Born to parents Ernest George Sheotes and Ruby Lee (Martin) Sheotes on July 11, 1951.

Sherry graduated from John I. Leonard High School in W.P.B, Florida in 1970. She went on to a local college and attained some classes in accounting principles. She worked with those skills at numerous companies and organizations over the years with the last being with the Winn Dixie Corporation's home office in Jacksonville, Florida but was forced to take early retirement in 2004 due to health reasons. Sherry will be remembered as being a good homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Sherry was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Lee (Martin) Wetherington, Keystone Heights, Florida and her father, Erenest George Sheotes Crawfordville, Florida.

Sherry is survived by her husband of thirty-five loving years, Larry Vance Smalling from Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Gary Sheotes from West Palm Beach, Florida; daughter, Amber Lee Pearl from Jacksonville, Florida; Stepson, Brian Eric Smalling from Middleburg, Florida; granddaughter, Danielle Brooks Hager from Jacksonville, Florida; granddaughter, Emma Hart from Melrose, Florida; granddaughter, Lauren Smalling from Melrose, Florida and grandson Tavaris Jeremaine Rankin Jr from Jacksonville, Florida.

A visitation of friends and family will be held Thursday evening, November 3, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.

Graveside services presided over by Hospice Chaplin Rev. Brent Beaird will be held at 10:30am on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
