Scott A. Walker, 62 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on June 23, 2021, with his wife and sister by his side. He was born in Palmer, Massachusetts to parents Henry Walker and Karen Vertefeuille.
Scottie loved football. His favorite team was the New England Patriots but he also liked the Jacksonville Jaguars. He loved to be outdoors fishing and bird watching. One of his favorite things to do was spend time with his wife Leslie Walker watching movies. Scott and Leslie were married on 7-23-2011 and they spent all their spare time together.
Scott was a God-fearing man with an exceptionally large family that he prayed for every day. He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and his big heart. He was a loving, kind and very giving person. His memory will live on in the lives he touched. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Henry Walker, his brothers Mark Walker & Norman Vertefeuille, his son Scott Walker, his daughter Kimberly Merritt, his stepmother Carolyn Woodland and his stepsister Patricia Jefferson.
Scott was survived by his wife of 10 years Leslie Walker (Jax), son Timothy (and spouse Kacey) Merritt (Jax), daughter Crystal Merritt (Jax), and son William Merritt (Jax). His daughter-in-law Heather Walker. 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 1 great grandchild “on the way”. His mother Karen and husband Robert Vertefeuille (Wildwood). His brother Steven, his half-brothers Matthew, Paul and Jason. His half-sisters Julie and Angela. His 2 stepbrothers Robert and Antonio and his 3 stepsisters Mary, Ivy, Lynn and many, many nieces and nephews.
A memorial will be held at 2pm on Friday July 23, 2021, at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
