Sarah Louise Lane, 90, of Middleburg, FL, passed away September 2, 2017.  She was born on November 16, 1926 in New Orleans, LA to parents Edward and Olga (Seiler) Hill, Sr.  Mrs. Lane was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Middleburg.  She had been a member of the Garden Club of Jacksonville, the Riverside Preservation Club and loved spending time at the Weigel Senior Center in Middleburg.  She and her husband also enjoyed traveling in their camper and eating at the Golden Corral.  Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Elliott “Edward” Lane.  Survivors include her children, Jack Hawkins (Toni) of Treasure Island, FL, Robert Hawkins (Patricia) of Salem, WI, Billy Joe Hawkins of Grosse Tete, LA, Wayne Hawkins (Debbie) of Brooksville, FL, David Hawkins, Sr. of Largo, FL, Lon Hawkins of Middleburg, FL, Richard Hawkins (Brenda) of Orange Park, FL and Thomas Hawkins, Sr. (Elaine) of Bryceville, FL; 29 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 8, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Middleburg with Rev. Tim Martin officiating.  Visitation will be in the church from 10:00 am until service time.  Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Middleburg, 2645 Blanding Blvd., Middleburg, FL 32068.
