In Loving Memory of Sarah L. Hamilton January 28, 1956 – August 14, 2025
Sarah L. Hamilton, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in Jacksonville, FL. Born on January 28, 1956, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sarah was the daughter of the late George K. Hamilton and Beverly G. Lentchner.
Throughout her life, Sarah called many places home, including Jacksonville, FL; San Francisco, CA; Sparks, NV—where she especially loved the annual hot air balloon races—and ultimately Lisbon, NH, where she found peace in the quiet beauty of the mountains.
Sarah held many interesting and fulfilling positions over the years, particularly during her time in San Francisco and Reno, where she embraced opportunities to learn and grow professionally. She eventually settled into a career at New England Wire Technologies in Lisbon, NH, where she proudly worked until her retirement.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Sarah earned her Bachelor's degree through studies at Jacksonville University and Penn State University, and went on to obtain her Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina—an achievement she was deeply proud of.
Sarah will be remembered for her deep compassion, creativity, and vibrant spirit. She was a passionate supporter of charitable causes, a gifted crafter, quilter, and gardener. She deeply loved her Schnauzer Jack and Beagle Letie. Sarah was someone who truly knew how to live life to the fullest. She did it all with joy, curiosity, and authenticity.
To her nieces and nephews, she was “Fun Aunt Sarah”—a charismatic, adventurous role model who never hesitated to speak her mind, always with a smile. Her memory will live on in countless stories, laughter, and the warmth she gave to all who knew her.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, George and Beverly Hamilton, and her cherished nieces Rebecca Oubourzar and Rachael Martin.
A memorial gathering will be held in New Hampshire, with details to be announced at a later date. Please contact Dori Hamilton for more information.
