There are some people whose love becomes the foundation of a family, and for us, that person was Sandra Sharpe.
With broken hearts we share that Sandra passed away on May 16, 2026 at 12:27am. No words feel big enough for this loss because she was so much more than a mother, she was home. She was comfort, strength, sacrifice, warmth and unconditional love wrapped into one extraordinary woman.
She had a way of making everyone feel safe and cared for. Whether through her gentle words, her endless support, or simply her presence, she cared for the people she loved through life’s hardest moments. She gave so much of herself without ever asking for anything in return. To know her was to know kindness. To be loved by her was one of life’s greatest blessings.
She loved her horse, Tank, who was her greatest joy, gardening, fishing, and her precious puppy Ellie who never left her side. But nothing brought her more joy than the people she loved. Her happiest moments were often the simplest ones: Conversations around the table, holidays spent together, phone calls just to check in, hugs that lasted a little longer than expected, and the comfort of having family close.
Soundra Louise Sharpe was born on November 15, 1956 to Leonard and Katherine Wachowski in Weymouth, Massachusetts. She is survived by her husband James, her sister Deborah and brother Doug, her loving children; Dennis (Letishia), Christina (Chad), Jama (Clay), & Scott (Stephanie). She leaves behind numerous grandchildren including: Ashton, Alex, Levi, Isabelle, Jaydin, Lilyan, Jenisen, and Izabella, and two great-grandchildren.
She was welcomed into Heaven by both parents, her daughter Katherine Ann & her grandson Jacob.
We will miss her voice, her smile & her love. We will miss the way she made everything feel okay even when it wasn’t.
A celebration of life will held on May 20, 2026 at her home in Orange Park, Florida.
Though she is gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts. Her love shaped us and that love will stay with us for the rest of our lives.
