Ruth E. Brown

Ruth Esther Puska Brown, 93, of Jacksonville, FL, reunited with her husband of 60 years, Don, in the presence of the Lord on Friday, May 2, 2025. Ruth was the youngest of three daughters born to Finnish Parents, Eino and Aino Puska. She was born and raised in Hancock, MI and graduated from Hancock High School in 1949. As an Air Force and Navy wife she traveled and worked as a professional secretary in both civil service and private sector jobs. She always said Jacksonville was their favorite place to live. She was an avid bowler, pinochle player and a great cook. Ruth described her life as an adventure! She is survived by 3 daughters, Paula Kennedy (Bob), Janet Wilson (Wade) and Linda Monroe (Steve), 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Ruth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed by all. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
