Rudy Enriquez Simon, age 82, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025 at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital surrounded by his family. Rudy was born in the Philippines to Isabela Simon, Sr. and Emerenciana Enriquez Simon.

He was a member of U.S. Navy where he served 26 years, following that he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 10 years. Rudy enjoyed shrimping and fishing, he was also a Georgia Bulldogs fan. Rudy loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Genoveva Simon and their children, Anna Simon (Daniel) Miller, Jose (Jana) Simon Jr., Dennis Simon, Cynthia (Jerry) Young, Luz (Larry) Tucker, Elsie (Jose) Erd, Jessie Erd, and Artie (Keely) Erd. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jainee Simon, Jaicee Simon, Dennis (Molly) Simon, Samantha (Dallon) Stewart, Dalton (Alexis) Simon, Taylor Simon (Luke Kennedy), Zoie Young, Weston Young, Wyatt Young, Skyler Tucker, Earllean Tucker, Cierra Erd, Ashtin Erd, Alahna Erd, and Alyssa Erd; 6 great-grandchildren also survive.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on September 4, 2025, at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Please assemble in Lane #3.
