IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roger
Wall
April 19, 1942 – February 4, 2026
Roger Wayne Wall, 83, went home into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Roger was born on April 19, 1942, to Florian “Buck” Wall and Marie Futch. He was born and remained a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs, a community he loved deeply.
Roger graduated from Clay High School in 1960 and proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force shortly thereafter. Following his service, he dedicated his career to protecting others. He served as a police officer for the City of Jacksonville and later continued his law enforcement career as a deputy with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Roger was married to the love of his life, Carol, for 59 wonderful years. He loved his family fiercely and found great joy in fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking on his smoker, and trying to burn everyone up with his famous datil pepper sauce.
Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Carol; his daughters, Stephanie Cochrane (Jay) and Susan Fore (Jason). Nothing lit up his life more than his eight grandchildren: Kennedy Allen (Chase Carnes), Grace Allen, Jenna Cochrane, Hayden Cochrane, Lexi Fore, Zach Fore, Greyson Fore, and Finlee Fore. His brother Ronald Wall and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Claxton.
Roger will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His quick wit, laughter, and endless stories will remain in our memories forever. We are grateful for the legacy of love, faith, wisdom, and laughter he leaves behind. Though our hearts ache, we find comfort knowing he is at peace.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on February 21, 2026, at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m., with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Jeth Looney officiating.
