Roger Allen Pierce, aged 61 years, passed away on January 13, 2024, after a 3-year battle with cancer. Roger was born on October 14, 1962, to Joseph W. Pierce and Caroline Manning in the town of Poughkeepsie, NY. Roger married his wife of 40 years, Tammy Pierce, on May 29, 1979. They were the proud parents of 3 girls and 1 boy: Candice, Nikole, Alexandria, and Dylan. 

Roger was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Roger was unendingly proud of his children and always tried to support them. Anyone who knew Roger knew he was a loving father, husband, and in general, an amazing human being. 

Roger was predeceased by his father, Joseph Pierce; his mother, Caroline Manning; his sister, Patti Pierce, and his loving wife Tammy Pierce. Roger is survived by his children, Candice and Patrick Peacock, Nikole and Benjamin Petzoldt, Alexandria and Donald Vara, Dylan Pierce, and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Pierce; sisters, Lorrie Dwyer and Christina Hall and father-in-law, Tommy Steele.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Oak Grove Baptist Church.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm with Charles Green officiating and burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Oak Grove Baptist Church, where Roger will be laid to rest.
