Robert "Kenny" Kemp

Robert Kenneth Kemp “Kenny” passed away at his home Monday November, 22 2021. He was born to Rosa and Ed Lane Kemp on February 8, 1938 in Swainsboro, GA.

Kenny was a very hard, dedicated worker and worked in the Timber industry as his profession. He was a Lifelong member of Decoy Baptist Church serving as a Deacon for the majority of those years. Kenny enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and shooting.

He will be remembered for his willingness to always help someone in need, his strong love of Christ, his selfless love as a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend, hunting and fishing buddy.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Yvonne Kemp in May of 2013.

He is survived by his brother, Otis Wayne; sister, Debbie Hutcheson; daughters, Mary Alice Carter (Jimmy), Peggy Sue Brimo (Rick) and their son Sean; sons, Robert Kenneth II “Ken” (Regina) and Robbie Joe (Jacquie); 4 granddaughters, Ashley, Alison, Holly and Jessica; grandson, Mason; and 4 Great-grandchildren, Reed, Madelyn, Rhett and Aidan all residents of Florida.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, November 26, 2021 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Decoy Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating. Graveside service to follow at Decoy Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Baker officiating.
