Robert "Bobby" Guice

March 26, 1942 — March 29, 2023

Robert Foy “Bobby” Guice, 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 29, 2023.  He was born to Foy E. and Mildred J Guice on March 26, 1942, in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Bobby graduated from Hendersonville High School Class of 1960.  After graduation, he joined   the US Army, and was proud to have served in the 101st Airborne.

He had a long career as a lineman with Duke Power in Hendersonville and retired in 1996.

Bobby was married to Sara Guice for 21 wonderful years.  He is a member of Grace Anglican Church.

Bobby loved fishing and was a tournament bass fisherman for many years.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and rode with friends on many trips.  He loved a challenge and restored antique tractors, and recently began a restoration of a 1979 MGB.  His dear friend, Hal Beck, completed the restoration for him.

Bobby will be remembered for his love of family and friends.  He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, we listened.  He loved to tinker in his garage and spent lots of hours enjoying fixing just about anything.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, and his step grandson, Jimmy Perry.  His survivors include his wife, Sara, sister, Frances Peterman (Lloyd), Sons, Mark A. Guice (Elaine) and Brent A.
