Robert “Bob” Rawling, age 60, of Green Cove Springs, Fl. passed away on January 28, 2026.
Bob was born on October 9, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Harold and Anita Rawling.
Bob was a passionate man. He loved his brothers Harold, Tommy, and sister Peggy very much. All the pets that the family had were all his favorites. Bob was a graduate of Middleburg High School and he loved being a Bronco.
He became very passionate about getting a job and he worked for 12 years at NAS Jacksonville on the Challenge Enterprises crews at FRCSE and the Commissary. Bob worked at the warehouse in Green Cove Springs as an assembler, packer, and sorter. He loved going to work each day. The local newspaper wrote a story about him, headlined, ‘Everyone Loves Bob’! The writer featured him at the job site, in the community, in his home, competing in Special Olympics games and his favorite sport was bowling. Bob participated in the Gate River Run as a member of the Ability Experience Team. Bob was very proud on his awards and medals.
Bob was a member of Sacred Heart Church on Fleming Island and he served as a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus including roles on the board. He was a proud member of this brotherhood.
Bob was real friend to his buddies and in his later years he looked out for his friend at the Pavilion at Penney Retirement Community. Bob was well loved by all at Penney Retirement Community and he was so happy to be there. He always said the Food is good!!! And Bob’s new passion was BINGO. Especially when he went on vacation with his sister Peggy to Orlando, it was BINGO every night.
Bob is already missed by family and friends and his passion for engaging in life will be his legacy.

Bob was a friend to all.
A Memorial Mass will be held in Bob's honor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fleming Island on Tuesday, February 17th at 10:00AM.
