Richard Upperman

Rick passed away on October 10, 2022 in the Moosehaven Health Care Center at the age of 94. He was born to Ollie and Elizabeth Upperman on April 28, 1928 in Chanbersburg, PA. Rick married Lorraine Marie Troop on August 15, 1948.  They had a daughter Marcy and sons Gary and James. Lorraine preceded him in death on March 15, 2021. He served in US Coast Guard-Merchant Marine. He received Victory Medal and a Presidential Testimonial Letter. Rick became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on June 3, 1983 when he joined Sebastian River, FL Lodge #1767. Rick and Lorraine came to Moosehaven on July 18, 2018. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery in Lancaster, PA. Rick is survived by his daughter Marcy Simpson of Carlisle, PA, son Gary Upperman of Aurora, CO and son James Upperman of Camphill, PA.
