Regina T. (Oleniczak) (McConville) Kocher

Born Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1947

Regina went to almighty God after a long battle with dementia.

She was a teacher in the Elizabeth and Newark, NJ public school systems and the Catholic School system Elizabeth, NJ

Legal secretary for a Law firm in Mendham, NJ

HR Director, The Hartford in Newark, NJ

Later a business teacher in the Ohio (Strongsville) and Polk County (Winter Haven), Broward and Clay County Florida school systems.

She was an accomplished seamstress. During her summers as a teacher, she would lay out dress patterns and sew a completely new wardrobe for the new school year. Fellow teachers would remark, where did you find that dress?

Regina and Carl met at The Hartford, St Louis, Mo. She was in training for the new HR in Newark. In less than a year Carl asked for her hand in marriage. Marriage was at St Joseph Catholic Church, Mendham, NJ. As they walked out of the church Regina announced to Carl we are honeymooning in Mexico, and I have already paid for it. She loved Mexico. Her Spanish was good enough to keep them out of trouble as they travelled to Mexico many times.

While she was a very good cook, she generally was the Su Chief to her husband Carl. Her loved to prepare Paella and her own Sangria recipe which were out of sight.

She was a true cat lover, and she and Carl had many inside and outside cat companions in their various homes over the years. Her favorite cats were Sunny, Monzie, George Albert, Caroline, Nick, Haley Marie and Ozzy. All were walk ups or shelter cats.

She was an avid reader of mystery novels especially James Patterson.

Regina was preceded in death by her first husband John P McConville, Navy, NJ and her parents Tom and Helen Oleniczak of Elizabeth, Mendham, NJ and Winter Haven, FL.

She is survived by her sister, Susan Oleniczak, Jacksonville, FL and her husband of 51 years, Carl E Kocher, Green Cove Springs, Fl.

Funeral arrangements at St Luke Catholic Church, Middleburg, Fl to be announced later. Her final interment will be later with her husband Carl at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Fl.
