Raymond L. Calley Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, June 16, 2018. He was born in Sanford, FL to the late J. R. and Helen Calley on July 12, 1943. He loved his family, hunting and traveling the US.

He served honorably in the US Navy. He worked in the Jacksonville and North Florida Shipyards, as a ship fitter, he also built Barbecue grills and later ran a boiled peanut stand in Green Cove and Penney Farms.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Diane Kiedrowski; a brother, Willie Calley; son-in-law, David Carver; twin grandsons, Justin and Dustin Carver; and great-granddaughter, Peyton Avery.

He is survived by brothers, Robert, Pete and Alvin (Boss) Calley; and sister, Barbara Wollitz; two daughters, Melissa Alba and Dawn Lynn Carver; his son, Raymond L. Calley, Jr., ten grandchildren, Raymond L. the 3^rd, Cody, Carrie, Justin, Chris, Alyssa, Victoria, Bo, Dalton, and Dylan; and nine great-grandchildren.

  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 28, 2018 with military honors at Decoy Baptist Church, 671 Decoy Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 with Pastor Tim Hall officiating.
