Ray H. Jenner, 86, from Green Cove Springs, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Ray was born on November 22, 1934 in Hugo, OK to parents Ralph K. and Mabel Jenner.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Gwen Fowler Jenner.

He is survived by his 3 children, David R. (Darleen), Rita R. Forehand (Byron) and John R.; 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Ray served as principal of Charles E. Bennett Elementary School for 30 years, from 1966 to his retirement in 1996. He was active in the community – member of the GCS Rotary, member of the GCS Planning & Zoning Board, and coached several baseball and softball teams.

Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, quail hunting, and playing tennis until his early 80’s.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Joe Barrie officiating. No graveside service to follow, burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
