Randy Gibson, aged 72, was born in Poughkeepsie, New York to Betty Jane and Raymond Lee on May 23, 1953. He passed away January 9, 2026.
Randy joins everlasting life with his brother-in-law Ricky Page, sister-in-law Anne Prevatt, nephew TJ Prevatt and best friend Art Rutten.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Lynne Gibson. Brother-in-laws Bill Page, Steven Braxton and Travis Prevatt. Sister, Darlene Cuevas. Sister in-law, Gail Wilkinson. Loving friend, Kathy Rutten (Sister) and adoptive daughter, Mary.
He leaves behind Granddaughter Pebbles (Lorie), and great grands (Aurora, Zaiden, Owen).
Alongside several nieces (Ashley, Alyssa, Ariel, Sheena-jimmy, Michelle-John, Jenny-Shane, Brandie-Darrick, Shirley-Andrew) and nephews (Ash, Steven-Jessica, Jimmy-Angela) with several great nieces and nephews (Albert, Sawyer, Gunner, Seren, Hayden, Hendrix, Ryland, Hailey, Jai’chi, Shelby, Kaitlyn, Kaylee).
During Randy’s years he enjoyed building model cars, watching football and westerns on tv. He also enjoyed word searches and going fishing/shrimping. Randy spent a lot of time with his loving companion Dog (Winston). He loved traveling and collected hats from their travels. Randy served a few years as a Lance corporal in the U.S Marines and was honorably discharged in 1974.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel from 10:30am - 11:30am. Graveside services will be held on the same day at 1:30pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery. 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Please gather in cortege lane #3 30mins prior to the start of the graveside service.
