Phyllis Brown Hicks, 81 of Green Cove Springs, FL went to be with the LORD, on 11/21/2021, Born in Conaway, VA, the daughter of the Late Tom and Bertie Hagy Brown.  She was loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy W. Hicks, son Danny, daughter Tammy Hicks Moyers and both parents. Phyllis is survived by their other three children: Michael (Mike) (Candy) Hicks, Keith (Carol) Hicks, and Daryl Hicks (Lori) and Daughter-in-Law Tracy Hicks.  9 grandchildren: Corey Hicks, Becky (Jason) Shawley, Paige Hicks, Tyler (Briana) Hicks, Chris Hicks, Amanda Hicks (Josh), Erica Moyers, Jacob Moyers, and Tiffany (Nick) Griffin. 11 Great grandchildren: Lorelei, Gunnar, Tucker, Alleigh Grace, Camelia, and Justus Shawley, Meredith Hicks, Baylee and Landry Griffin, Lawton Hicks, Hezekiah Heard, Kelsey Nicholas.

Phyllis was a founding member of the local DAR, and UDC in Clay County. Member of the United Daughters of the Union.  Along with being a very talented artist, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a Boy and Girl Scouts leader, a Red Cross and MDA Volunteer and a girls softball coach.  She published a book "Footsteps From the Past" and several genealogy articles and was always ready to help research Family Genealogy.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral service to begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Bill Clayton officiating. Graveside service to follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
