Peter G. Hundt of Green Cove Springs passed away peacefully July 25, 2021.  Peter was born on December 22, 1940 in Stuttgart, Germany.

Peter had a passion for competitive sports including tennis, soccer and Formula One automobile racing. Upon moving to Florida, golf was quickly added to the list. He had actively participated in many tennis tournaments and repeatedly achieved top rankings. 

His love for the United States started after high school, when he spent half a year in South Bend, Indiana as an intern at Studebaker.  Then, after university and a few years employed within the automotive industry, he received a chance to go again to the States and worked as an engineer at Mercedes-Benz for a successful, nearly 30-year long career until retirement.

Peter is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ursula, two sons Thomas and Michael, daughter-in-law Soo-Young, only sister Dorothee Nestel and her husband Wolfram, two grandchildren Alexandra and Amelia, cousins and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Peter's name to The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs, PO Box 696, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
