Mrs. Patricia Eileen (Glynn) Roloff of Green Cove Springs, Florida, was a devout Roman Catholic, dedicated educator, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by faith, family, service, and a lasting devotion to shaping young minds.

Known to all as “Pat,” she was a strong, independent woman of unshakeable faith, profound wisdom, boundless generosity, Irish wit, and a wry grin. She served others first with grace, humility, and warmth, using her time, talents, and treasures as a true handmaid of the Lord. Pat peacefully entered eternal life on September 12, 2026, after receiving the Church’s Apostolic Pardon.

Born in March 1938 in Manhattan, New York, Patricia was the first of three children born to Margaret and Michael O. Glynn, a New York City firefighter. Her brother, Michael O. Glynn II, preceded her in death in October 2021. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Patricia (Glynn) Carr of Toledo, Ohio, Eileen’s husband, Jim, and her sister-in-law, Mary (O’Shaughnessy) Glynn, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

In 1965, while serving as a U.S. Department of Defense teacher, Pat met and married Fred A. Roloff in Tokyo, Japan. Their marriage endured until his death in October 1999. Together they raised two daughters, Roberta (Timothy Mulholland) and Michele (John Ferriolo), while living in Hawaii, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, before settling in Green Cove Springs in 1982.

Pat’s family was among her greatest joys. Her daughter Roberta and son-in-law Tim Mulholland gave her four grandchildren: Matthew, Patrick, Margaret, and Jack. Through Matthew and his wife, Cait, and Patrick and his wife, Jessica, Pat was blessed with three great-grandchildren: Augustine, Clementine, and Thomas. Jack and his fiancée, Sabrina, reside in Northern California, while Margaret calls Green Cove Springs home when not working aboard Virgin Voyages. Pat’s younger daughter, Michele, and son-in-law John Ferriolo gave her two cherished granddaughters, Brittany of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Nicole of Phoenix, Arizona.

Both of Pat’s devoted daughters, their husbands, and her granddaughter Nicole were at her bedside at the hour of her death, while all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren visited her regularly in the months, weeks, and days leading up to her decline.

Patricia never let the lifelong asthma that followed a bout of whooping cough at age three slow her down. With a B.A. in Education from Fordham University, a master’s degree from Loyola University, and another from the University of North Florida, Pat built a life of teaching and service that touched students and communities across the globe. She served faithfully as a leader in the Council of Catholic Women, Principal of Assumption School in Jacksonville, third grade teacher at San Jose Catholic School, beloved Media Specialist at St. Clair Evans Academy, and Director of Religious Education at Sacred Heart Parish.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in Fleming Island, Florida, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A reception hosted by her dear CCW friends will follow in the Sullivan Room.

In 2027, the Roloff family will place Patricia’s cremains alongside those of her husband, Fred, in the National Columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to “Camp I Am Special”, honoring Patricia’s lifelong commitment to Catholic charity and the education of children.

May the road rise to meet you, Patricia, and may God hold you in the palm of His hand until we meet again.
