Ninfa Flores, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away on December 4, 2025, after an extended illness. Born on November 5, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, she leaves behind a legacy defined by love, courage, faith, and compassion.

Ninfa’s adventurous spirit was evident throughout her life. As a committed Navy wife, she embraced every move and new beginning that came with her husband Pablo’s military career. Together, they made homes in Southern California, South Texas, Virginia, the colorful landscapes of Southern Spain, the historic beauty of Sicily, and the warm communities of North Florida. These travels deepened her appreciation for culture, beauty, and new experiences, enriching her life and the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

Her love of global cuisine shaped her extraordinary talent for cooking, and her home became a place of welcome for family, friends, and strangers alike. Ninfa’s hospitality was unmatched; she delighted in entertaining and nourishing others. She also found joy and serenity in tending her plants and flowers, cultivating beauty wherever she lived.

A longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Green Cove Springs, Ninfa’s steadfast faith guided her throughout her life.

She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 64 years, Pablo Flores; her children Rebecca Flores, Rachel Herrington (Danny), and Robert Flores (Steve Alhart); and her brother Mark Vail (Cindy). She was a proud grandmother to Elizabeth, Amanda, Richard, Aleksandr, Oscar, Matthew, and Luke, and leaves behind many beloved great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie Hall and Antonio San Miguel, and is also mourned by her cherished dog, Adelita (Deli).

A Rosary will be held Thursday, December 18 at 6 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass on Friday, December 19 at 3 p.m., both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 207 Palmetto Ave., Green Cove Springs, Florida. Receptions will follow each service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice Care Center in Orange Park, Florida.
