Michael Allen Metzger, 58, of Middleburg, Florida passed away on January 11, 2018. Michael was born in Davenport, Iowa on January 4, 1960 to James and Donna (Ketelsen) Metzger.

Michael was a long time member of Black Pond Baptist Church. He was always a good friend, Christian Brother, and ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He worked for AJ Johns Construction before becoming disabled.  They considered him an outstanding and loyal employee. He worked faithfully for the food banks, and volunteered all over Clay County.

Michael is survived by his brother, Gary Metzger; and many nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Black Pond Baptist Church with Brother Charlie Hunt and Brother Jason Brown officiating.
