MICHAEL (Mike) CLYDE DAVIS, 73, Fleming Island, FL peacefully left this world for the next on Monday, March 9, 2026. Born to Clyde and Mardell (Greene) Davis on February 11, 1953, in Erwin, TN. He was born and raised on a farm, was an Eagle Scout, worked for the railroad, became a highly ranked Freemason, ran a consulting service, served in the pest control industry, and in his retirement years, remained busy by working part-time at Home Depot. Mike was a passionate hunter; traveled the world hunting deer, quail, and other wild game. His favorite place on this Earth was his hunting camp in South Carolina, where he wished for his ashes to be spread.

He was preceded in death by his parents, niece Carrie Wickert, and nephew Jacob Wickert. He is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Gracie (Gilpin) Davis of Fleming Island, FL; his sister Linda (Davis) (husband Roger) Wickert of Roanoke, VA; his sister Ann Loyd; his brother Steve (wife Theresa) Davis of Fleming Island, FL; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as his four “bonus” daughters Angela (husband Patrick Reuger), Amy (husband Joseph L’Heureux), Anita (husband Richard Smart), and Michelle (husband William Richardson) whom he raised. They have given Mike and Gracie eleven grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Pace Island Club House (1545 Royal Fern Ln, Fleming Island, FL 32003) on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 5pm to 8pm.
