Melissa "Missy" Revels

Melissa L. Revels 46 of Green Cove Springs passed away of natural causes in her home, on July 11, 2025.

Melissa was born to Donna Wolf Loyd and Sanford R. Loyd on December 26, 1978, at Baptist Hospital downtown Jacksonville, Fl.

Before she graduated, Melissa achieved the rank of 2nd degree black belt in the art of Tang Soo Do. She was active in her student government and was a member of Clay High band. Melissa graduated from Clay High School in 1997, where she was Class President. She attended St. Johns Community College.

Melissa worked with Palencia as an administrative assistant. She also enjoyed working at Challenge Enterprises as well as working in various accounting positions throughout the last 25 years.

Melissa married Joshua Revels March 2, 2005, in a quiet chapel in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Melissa recently started attending services at Living Waters church in Green Cove Springs, where she met many dear people.

Throughout her life she enjoyed music and shared that love with the people she loved.

Flowers/gardening, cooking, photography, and scrapbooking were enjoyable pastimes for her. She was very creative, and we have many wonderful memories of those surprises she brought to us. She loved to go to the beach and the mountains (especially with her boys and family).

Melissa was very proud of her 2 sons, Murray and Jeremy. She was a kind, friendly young woman with a very sweet nature, and rarely met a stranger.

Melissa had great organizational abilities and was always willing to use them to help others. She loved easily.

Melissa is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Adam Revels, her maternal grandmother Sandra Wolf and her paternal grandparents Janice and Roscoe Loyd.

Mellisa is survived by her mother Donna Loyd, as well as her father and stepmother Sandy and Amanda Loyd, her ex-husband Joshua Revels, two loving sons Murray and Jeremy Revels, her loving sisters Jessica Thompson, Ashley and Heather Loyd, as well as her brother Michael Loyd. Melissa also leaves behind many loved and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends at 10:00am on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Living Waters Worship Center. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Pastor Joe Barrie officiating and burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. All are invited back to Living Waters church to enjoy light refreshments and fellowship.

The family would like to express our love and thanks Pastor Joe Barrie for officiating over Melissa's services and to our pallbearers Michael Loyd, Derrick Carter, Rick Wolf, Tony Wolf, Emmett Wolf and Jet Thompson.
