Maureen Uhrie, 72, of Orange Park, FL, went home to find rest in the arms of her Lord on July 19, 2018, with all the humility and grace which she had demonstrated throughout her life. She was born on September 11, 1945 in Providence, RI to parents Raymond and Louise (Saccoccia) Cellemme. Having graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1967, she taught at East Greenwich High School for 4 years, but moved to the local area in 1973 along with her husband who was serving in the US Navy. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Rick, for nearly 49 years and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Active in the local community, her signature accomplishment was overseeing the Shoreline Civic Association where she was continually praised for her tireless efforts to improve the neighborhood. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, interior decorating and doing home improvement projects. The loves of her life were her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Rick Uhrie; son, Rich (Jennifer) of St. Johns, FL along with grandchildren, James, Connor and Matthew; brother, Ray Cellemme (Sharon) of McGrady, NC & her nieces, Brianne and Stephanie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073 with Fr. Ignatius Planthanam and Fr. Jose Kulathinal as Celebrants.
Inurnment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
