In Loving Memory of Mary Ann Silvers

November 8, 1948 – July 25, 2026

Mary Ann Silvers, who passed away on July 25, 2026, at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in Orange Park, Florida, at the age of 77.

Mary Ann was born on November 8, 1948, in Huntington, Indiana, to Raymond and Mary Gass. She was blessed to share nearly 48 years of marriage with the love of her life, Allen Silvers, whom she married on February 28, 1976. Allen preceded her in death on March 7, 2024, and we find comfort knowing they are reunited once again.

Before retiring in 2013, Mary Ann worked as an Executive Assistant with the Palm Beach County Comptroller's Office, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism.

Mary Ann became a member of Palm Beach Gardens Lodge 2010 on April 23, 1996. She proudly earned her Junior Graduate Regent degree in 1999 and sponsored 12 new members, reflecting her commitment to the Moose fraternity and the friendships she treasured.

After moving to Moosehaven on January 28, 2025, Mary Ann quickly embraced her new home. She had an infectious enthusiasm for life that drew people to her wherever she went.

Whether sharing a laugh, striking up a conversation, or simply brightening someone's day with her warm smile and outgoing personality, Mary Ann had a special way of making others feel welcome. She brought energy, kindness, and joy to those around her. Those who worshipped alongside her at the Moosehaven Chapel will especially remember that she never left a service without a beautiful smile and a kind word about how much she had enjoyed the message. Her words of encouragement and grateful heart were a blessing to everyone who knew her.

Mary Ann will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Allen, at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.

She is survived by her two brothers, who loved her dearly, Rick Gass of Tequesta, Florida, and John Gass of Huntington, Indiana.

Mary Ann's vibrant spirit, warm smile, and encouraging words will be deeply missed by her family, her many Moose friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
