Maria Terésa Rodriguez-Scott was born to Jan and Benjamin Rodriguez on June 20, 1973 in Jacksonville, Fl. She passed away June 29, 2026 in Jacksonville, FL.

She is survived by her mother Janet Harney and step father Russ Harney, her sister and brother in law: Mellissa and Thomas Richards, her sister: Ove Rodriguez, her sister: Linda Perry, her brother and sister in law: Paul and Samantha Harney, her sister: Bonnie Knopf, and her sister and brother in law: Kathryn and Ricky Joshi, Her nieces and nephews: Megan and Walter Davis, Edward and Amanda Rodriguez, and Benjamin Rodriguez, Her great nieces and nephews: Ian Davis, Liam Davis, Camden Davis, Ava Davis, Landon Davis, Ethan Knopf, Raina Joshi, Ashley Rodriguez-Lewis, and Aaron Rodriguez, and her great-great niece and nephew: Nolan and Maddie Lewis.

Maria went by the nickname Tess. Tess always shared a positive attitude and incredible outlook on life. She gave to various organizations in her time including but not limited to: locks for love, crochet caps for baby’s in the NICU, crochet blankets for fellow cancer patients, and school supplies for kids in need. Tess was also a crafting addict enjoying soap making, crocheting, paint by diamonds, plastic canvas, jewelry, cross stitch, quilting, ornaments, or anything else she could put her creative mind into. She dedicated 25 years to MBM/McLane in the transportation department. She loved and was loved fiercely and would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. She is sorely missed by every life she touched but will never be forgotten.
