With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Margaret Virginia Gordon, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Margaret was born on December 7, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, where she grew up and later met the love of her life. After working many years in Jacksonville, Florida, and caring for her family, she retired and relocated to Clay County, Florida, and eventually to Green Cove Springs, where she loved spending time outside reading and lying in the sun.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and the heart of her family. She dedicated her life to working hard and caring for the people and pets she loved. Her strength, kindness, and steady presence were felt by everyone who knew her. Her home was always a place of warmth, comfort, and family where countless memories were made.

She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 48 years, Richard William Gordon Sr., her daughters, G. Lynn Lyons and Mary Thompson, and her baby, Tiny, who passed in infancy.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Finch (Michael) and Stacey Michell. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Amber Heaton (Rodney), Kaleigh Potter (Michael), Kaira Robison, Chase Robison, Sierra Williams (Tony), Michael Michell, Casey Michell (Anthony), Riley Finch (Jackson), and Allie Finch, along with many great-grandchildren who loved and adored her.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her love, strength, and devotion to her family.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Rick Baldwin officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 10:00 am until service time. Interment immediately following in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Fellowship is welcomed, with food served afterward at 1524 Howell Haven Point, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
