Louie “Ed” Edwin Ivey, 93 years old, of Green Cove Springs Florida, passed away on Monday, August 10th.

Born to Louie and Hattie (Wilbur) Ivey on April 28th, 1933, in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Ed retired from the Clay County School Board after 29 years of hard work. Ed and Margaret loved to travel and took many trips all over the United States. They spent a lot of time at different campgrounds around the country. He was an avid Florida Gator football fan and Jacksonville Jaguar fan. One of the many things he loved to do was farm and grow his garden. He used to be quite the hunter but for the last 40 years he loved to feed the wildlife in his yard, especially the deer and turkeys. He also enjoyed smoking meat on the grill. But his true passion was changing his farm into an RV park where he has rented to countless people over the last 30 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved nothing more than spending time and visiting with them. He has spent the last 8 years taking care of his beloved wife.

Ed was predeceased in death by his parents, brothers, Arthur and Tommy and sisters, Janice and Elziabeth, his sons Harold and Lou Ivey.

Ed Is survived by his wife Margaret Ivey of 35 years. Also, his stepchildren and their spouses, Chip and Kimberly Middleton, Lisa and Scott Miller, Joe and Tracy Colley, and Kathy and Chuck Parker. He also is survived by his grandchildren, Kayla, Jennifer, Gregory, Garrett, Griffin, Mckade, and Cross, along with great grandchildren, Rosie, Troy, Corey, and Nora.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 21st, 2026, at 10 A.M., in the Broadus-Raines Chapel, in Green Cove Springs, with burial following at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
