Kimberly Celeste Pope Shiver, 64, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on February 23, 2026.

Kim is survived by her husband of 46 years Mark Shiver; son, Jeremy Scott Shiver (Amy); son, Daniel Bart Hutchins JR (Katrina, Daniel III); Shannon Nicole Shiver (Jonathan); mother, Winifed Dorothy Pope; brother, Gregory Alan Pope (Carol, Amber ,Kara) and numerous nieces & nephews.

Kim began her career in the early 80's as a 911 Communications Officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office where she spent 19 years working her way up to shift supervisor. She then went on to join the Duval County School Police Department where she continued her work as a Communication Supervisor. Her "straight to the point, no nonsense " personality in law enforcement proved to be her strength, in a stressful profession that requires quick thinking & knowledge. She was just good at what she did!

She loved life. She loved her children, & loved helping and serving people. Kim loved entertaining friends & family with her amazing talent for cooking, and her witty, funny personality. Kim was always putting others before herself.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Riverstone Community Church.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Riverside Memorial Park.
