Dear Family and Friends, 

It is with deep sadness that I share the news of the passing of Kimberly E. Reimers on Monday, May 4, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on November 15, 1968, in Princeton, West Virginia, Thomas and Dolores Tachell, Kimberly attended public schools in Wyoming and later obtained her GED. She was a soft soul with a big heart who found great joy in caring for animals and plants, helping her neighbors, and spending time with her loved ones. She also enjoyed watching classic sitcoms and reflecting on fond memories of her childhood. Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Tachell; her brother, Terry L. Tachell; her parents-in-law, Gene L. and Elizabeth R. Reimers; and both sides of grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Donald J. Reimers; her son, Kaleb T. Reimers; her mother, Dolores Tachell; her sisters, Pam (Victor) Michael and Michele (Paul) Breu; and her brothers, Michael (Vicki) Tachell and Tommy Tachell. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Leslie (Troy) Carter, brothers-in-laws Clinton Reimers and Jerry (Rebecca) Reimers, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. 

No formal service is planned at this time. The family will hold a private gathering at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that donations be made to the ASPCA in honor of Kimberly’s lifelong love for rescuing animals. 

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
