Kevin P. Dennedy

Kevin Patrick Dennedy, age 80, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025. Kevin, born in Salt Lake City, was raised in Brooklyn, NY.

After an adventurous childhood with friends and family in Brooklyn, Kevin enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He honorably served his country in Vietnam.

After his time in the service, Kevin attended Villanova University and graduated in 1972. Kevin began his professional career in Monmouth Beach, NJ, where he explored the beaches, bars and sailing. Kevin finished his career in Cincinnati, OH, as corporate sales manager for the Container Corporation of America.

Kevin enjoyed active vacations in Australia and Tahiti, going on adventurous bike trails and scuba diving. Upon retirement, Kevin relocated to Green Cove Springs, FL, where he played golf and doted on his beloved dogs, Dewey and Eefa.

Kevin was well-loved and will be missed. He was intelligent, quick-witted and funny. Kevin could make you feel like you were the most important and interesting person. He was always the best-dressed person in the room and had the ability to make everyone laugh.

Preceded in death by the late Irene and Hugh Dennedy, Kevin is survived by his sisters, Margot Dennedy and Sharon Hasselmann (the late Harry Hasselmann); nieces and nephew, Julie Vellender, Caroline Egbers, Betsey Blankenship, and Peter Hasselmann; nine grandnieces and grandnephews; David, Alison, Kevin, Daniel, Annie, Irene, Jack, Kaitlyn, and Avery; and his cherished dog Eefa.

Graveside services for Kevin will be held at 9:30AM on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Jacksonville National Cemetery. 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Please arrive at least 15-30 mins prior to the start of the service and gather in lane #2.
