Kensel C. Harris, 92, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025. He was born to Curtis and Rose Harris on July 4, 1933 in Belmore, Florida. He graduated from Clay High School in 1952. He was a proud army combat veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a water mechanic for DuPont, maintenance supervisor at Johns-Manville and retired several years ago from Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) where he worked as a hydraulic mechanic. He also enjoyed many years of monitoring water levels as a volunteer with the US Geological Survey. He was married to the love of his life, Martha, for 68 years.

Kensel was a Christian man who loved his Lord. He was a member of Russell Baptist Church and thankful to share his personal testimony.

He will be remembered by the description used by all who knew him as "a good man". He was loyal, protective, and loved the Belmore woods and his garden. His family was his joy and "Pa" will live on in precious memories.

He is preceded in death by his parents Curtis and Rose Harris; sisters Wanda Elliott, Gloria Meek and Myrna Sprigg and many other cherished family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Martha Harris; children Nancy (Gary) Crowder, KC (Renee) Harris and Kimberlee Harris; Grandchildren Shannon (Thad) Tisdale, Ethan (Anna) Crowder, Cody Creamer, Kyle Harris and Nikki Harris and ten great-grandchildren.

A grave side service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Beulah Cemetery 4579 State Road 21, Green Cove Springs, Florida with Rev. Ethan Crowder officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Florida Baptist Children's Home, Jacksonville, Florida.
