Justin Robert Dugger
February 2, 1980 – April 19, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Justin Robert Dugger, who went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 19, 2025, at the age of 45. Justin was a devoted and loving father to his beautiful daughters, Josephine and Grace Dugger, who were the joy and purpose of his life. Everything he did was with them in mind — providing, protecting, and pouring out his love on them. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Simmons, and his father and stepmother, Robert and Cathy Dugger. He is also survived by his siblings, Jacqueline Carlton (Matt) and Jason Dugger, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will deeply miss him.
Justin had a deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, whom he trusted as his Savior and friend. His faith was important to him, and he found joy and peace in worship and prayer. His journey through life was not without its challenges as he faced many ups and downs, but through it all, he never gave up. He fought a good fight with courage and determination, and his resilience inspired those who knew and loved him.
Known for his easy smile, infectious laughter, and great sense of humor, Justin brought warmth and joy wherever he went. He cherished his family and treasured spending time with them. Justin was happiest outdoors — whether fishing, kicking a soccer ball with his girls, or simply being out on the water. He was a man of many talents, skilled with his hands and always willing to lend them to help others. From fixing cars to carpentry and construction, Justin could build or repair just about anything. Justin loved playing the guitar. He had a deep appreciation for all genres, with a special place in his heart for worship music and southern rock.
Justin’s legacy is one of love, faith, laughter, and hard work. He leaves behind family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Friday, April 25, 2025, in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Pastor Tommy Ferretti officiating and burial will follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
