Judy Alice Svendsen, 76, born August 15, 1940, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, passed away on July 14, 2017 in Fleming Island, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Alicia Martinez of Mayaguez. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Carl; sons, Carl IV of Longwood, FL, Steven (Tracy) and Paul (Leslie) of Fleming Island, FL; brother, Frank Martinez (Diane) of Bel Air, MD and six grandchildren, Kyle, Erik, Samantha, Sydney, Kristen and Alexander. Judy served her Catholic faith as Eucharistic Minister and Lector at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Orange Park, FL and St. Francis de Sales in Cincinnati, OH for over 30 years. She retired in 1999 as an Executive Assistant with Chiquita Brands International in Cincinnati, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Christ Church Cemetery on St. Simons Island, GA.
